I know the headlines feel scary right now. "Google I know the headlines feel scary right now. "Google search is over." "Bloggers are done." "AI is taking everything."

Here's what I actually think after reading through all of it:

The blogs that will struggle are the ones built around answering simple questions anyone could google. The ones with thin content. The ones that sound like every other site on the same topic.

The blogs that will hold and grow are the ones where a real person is sharing real experience. Specific. Personal. Earned.

Google's AI can summarize a recipe. It can't tell your story. It can't share what happened when you tried that project with your kids and it went sideways. It can't be you.

That's not a consolation prize. That's actually the strategy.

Comment "GUIDE" below. I'm putting together a free plain-English breakdown of what Google actually looks for and I'll send you the link to join the list and receive it the moment it's live.

Something big happened at Google I/O last week. An Something big happened at Google I/O last week. And if you've been blogging for any amount of time, you probably felt it before you even read about it.

Here's the plain-English version of what it actually means.

Google just made AI the front door of search. Not a feature but the default. AI Overviews and AI Mode are now one seamless experience, live everywhere, right now.

About 65% of searches now end without anyone clicking anything. Someone searches, Google answers, they move on.

That's the number everyone's sharing. But here's what most people aren't saying:

-The clicks that do happen? They convert better. People who click through are more intentional. More ready. They weren't just browsing, they wanted more than a summary could give them.
-So the blogs that are going to hold and grow, aren't the ones that freak out and rewrite everything.
-They're the ones with content worth clicking into. Content that goes deeper than a summary can. Specific, personal, and real. Content no AI can replicate from a paragraph.

You already know how to create that. You just need to keep doing it — and maybe tighten a few things.

I'm breaking all of this down all month. Save this post so you don't lose it.

Something new is almost ready. I’ve been working Something new is almost ready.

I’ve been working on a third WordPress theme for the shop — and I’m getting close.

I’m not ready to share details yet. But I can tell you it’s been a different kind of process. Every theme I build teaches me something about what bloggers actually need from a design, not just what looks good, but also what makes their content easier to read, easier to navigate, easier to grow with.

This one’s been no different.

This one is personal. Lokatadas started the way th This one is personal. Lokatadas started the way the best things do — not as a plan, but as something we loved doing.

My daughter Emma and I had been making jewelry together at night. Just for us. Just because it was something we genuinely enjoyed. My mother-in-law was visiting and her knowledge helped us learning new things. We’d sit there making pieces and suddenly... we had way too many and no space to store them.

My husband looked at all of it one night and said: what are you going to do with all that? And where are you going to store it?

That question became a business.

Lokatadas is a made-up word in Spanish. LOKA from loca (crazy). ATADAS from tangled. KAT from the cat that plays with a ball of thread — because that’s basically us.

When it was time to build the brand, I wanted it to feel exactly like what it is: happy, creative, and a little loud. Because that’s who we are when we’re making things together.

This one is special. Not every project starts in your bed making bracelets with your 14-year-old (12 back then) at midnight. So I hope you love this brand as much as we did!

There’s a lot of advice out there about what Googl There’s a lot of advice out there about what Google wants.

Most of it is someone’s interpretation of someone else’s interpretation.

So I went straight to the source.

Google publishes documentation that most bloggers never read, because honestly, it’s heck of a lot. Dense, technical, written for evaluators and developers, not for people who just want to know if their content is good.

I’ve been reading through all of it. The quality guidelines. The helpful content documentation. The E-E-A-T standards. And I’ve been translating it into plain English. No technical jargon. No interpretation layers. No fluff.

I’m putting it all into a free guide and I’ll be sharing it with my email community first.

If you want to be the first to get it as soon as it’s out 👉 comment “Free Guide” and I’ll send the link.

What you see at the end of a branding project is t What you see at the end of a branding project is the clean, polished version.

What you don't see is everything it took to get there.

The research. The sketches that didn't work. The versions that were close but not quite right. The back and forth that makes the final result actually fit.

Good branding isn't just about making something look nice.

It's about taking the time to understand what actually fits — what feels right for the business, and what will support it long-term.

That's the part that often gets skipped. And it's usually why something can look good... but still feel off.

If your brand feels close but not quite there, let's talk.

I hadn't shared testimonials here before. But this I hadn't shared testimonials here before. But this one — I had to.

Camila from Pies & Tacos has been a client and a friend for years. We've worked together on her food blog, her author brand, her book design, and more. She's seen me handle the technical side, the creative side, and everything in between.

What she wrote stopped me for a minute.

'She is always there, no matter the issue — and her default response is never panic, but: Let's figure it out. And she does.'

That's exactly what I want every client to feel.

Not just a beautiful site — but someone in their corner who actually knows the industry, knows blogging, and shows up.

That's what I'm here for.

If you're ready for that too, let's talk.
